My mom used to let me have the radio on when I was trying to fall asleep at night. I was in the eighth grade when I heard Michael Jackson’s Thriller. As I laid in my bed with my eyes closed because I was so scared it felt as though when I rolled over he was going to be right there in my room with me. That memory is so vivid, even when I hear the song today, twenty-five years later.
