Michael Jackson’s hit song “Billie Jean” was from the best selling album of Thriller on January 2, 1983.  Quincy Jones the producer of the Thriller album did not think the song would be a hit and did not want to include it on the Thriller album.  Michael insisted that the song be on the album and of course it was a hit.
